Cha-cha-cha-changes. I am curious how many of you are feeling the call or are being called to make some changes in your life. It seems like most of the people who I come across these days are making some big changes. Changes in their businesses, work lives, relationships, health, moving, leaping into projects that have long been on the back burner and more. All the way down to cleaning out the closest and back yards, re-doing rooms in the house, or starting a new hobby.
The energy for change is up right now and we are all swimming in the cosmic soup of this energy. Depending on what we have going on some of us will feel this more than others and some changes will have a much greater impact or ripple than others. But the energy is so big that it is like we can’t NOT make a change in our lives right now.
As this energy has been amping up, I have made big changes and decisions within Shamanic Twist about literal material space. We have consolidated our two separate office and Studio spaces into one space. For those of you who have been to our Center in Kamas, Utah we have moved over to occupy just the Studio space. This was a change long wanting to happen, but I had to move through the pieces of attachment and the smattering of fear around this change. I could feel the pull and the ask for it – and all my humanness went through a severe case of the “what if’s.” What if this is a mistake? What if I regret this decision? What if people are not supportive? What if it does not work to create a beautiful client space on that side? You name it, I have probably thought it. But what I could not deny was the BIG pull for change. I knew I needed to make a change, but it felt scary from the standpoint of just wanting the comforts of constancy. The ego really does not like to change you know. The ego kind of likes to know what to expect and if it does not then it does not want to change.
But the pull was greater than the desire for the “known.” So, change it was. Sometimes the easiest path forward is leaning into the energy that is there, even when fear arises. Do we have enough faith in the diving orchestration to trust in the energy of change and that which is calling even when we cannot see the other side? This is the wisdom that the Hummingbird archetype brings us. The ability to trust in the mystery of the unfolding. Not easy, but necessary sometimes.
When the energy of change comes to visit as an unexpected guest, we might want to slam the door in its face as our knee jerk reaction, but this does not deter our guest. Oh no, change is a formidable guest who will not just walk away from some little door slamming. It will find its way in. I have found it much easier to just invite it in and make friends with it. Asking how we may partner up for this spin around the ol’ block of shifts and changes. What do I need to let go of in order to move through this process more smoothly? And when I bring this level of awareness and I do not fight it, it opens doors I never saw in the first place. I have found simplicity and freedom by embracing change as opposed to fighting it.
So, my dear ones, the invitation for this summer of change – is to invite it in. Open the door and welcome your guest of change. Ask what it is bringing and how to best form a relationship with it. You might just be surprised with the outcome when we trust in the mystery of the unfolding.
